Max wandered into the pokemon adoption centre, there were a lot of pokemon playing together but one stood out, a Gastly sat in the corner playing with a toy. He was the only pokemon playing alone but seemed content.
Max approached the counter, "I'd like to adopt a pokemon," he began, his decision on which pokemon was already made, "could I adopt that Gastly?"

Braids was drawn into the shop for a various reasons. First being that he needed more pokemon, and secondly, to try and find something he could mold into a model partner. He scanned the pokemon, eying each one with a sort of elevated disdain, although nodded politely towards the woman behind the counter. The Pidgey and the Roseilia held little interest, but as his gaze fell upon the Meowth, his eyes lit up from behind his goggles. A Meowth evolved into a Persian, a perfectly suave addition to his team. "I'd like to purchase the Meowth." He said curtly towards the woman at the counter, fishing out a spare 800 from his pockets. It was always good to help out the less fortunate, right? He laughed inwardly.

Trinidad understood that he was very capable of catching a Pokémon, but he preferred to nab one that was actually experienced with humans. One that would not rear on its trainer and attack, then influence the rest of his team to revolt and escape. His mind made up, he smiled and said, “That Castorm, por favor.”

To be frank, Sinclair was rather tired of handling both Rosa the Crybaby and Rydia the bipolar Mareep -- neither of them had any experience in battles, and it was sometimes a bit frustrating for her to have to dictate everything they needed to do. Striding into the shop, the woman stared at the list of pokemon for a short while. She instantly ruled out the Pansear, Snubbull, and Roselia, which left her with the Scraggy and Pidgey.
After a moment's pause, Sinclair gestured at the Scraggy. "I want ... her." Sinclair thought for another moment, then slowly added, "... Please."
total: £1800.

Braids had returned. And with more cash. It had took him a while to raise up that money, a humiliating thing to do since he couldn't reach his rich and well to do folks to wire money straight into his account. But the battles were worth it in the long run.
Braids approached the woman at the counter."I would like to purchase the Roselia." He stated simply, handing the needed 2,000 from his pocket and placing it upon the counter.
