Personality: Chikara is a very sweet nidoran but she has a jealous streak and likes to be the centre of attention. She has a deep love and affection for Max and hates if it seems like he's ignoring her. She'll do anything to be the focus of his attention and takes being his first pokemon very seriously. If anyone insults Max Chikara gets very defensive and fights strongly on his behalf, even if the battle hasn't started yet.
History Together: Chikara was Max's starter pokemon, given to him by Professor Hawthorne. Chikara has been Max's partner since he first left home and they have a strong bond.

Gender: Male
Moves: Overheat, Ember, Thunder Punch (egg move,) Smog and Leer
Personality: Kaji means well but he is very young and unable to control his fire powers effectively. This often leads to uncontrolled bursts of flame, particularly when Kaji sneezes. Max, though, has little patience with him but he's learning and Kaji will hopefully get more control as he grows.
History Together: Kaji was given to Max by a traveller. The pokeball was thrusted at him and he was told to take care of the baby magby. Since then Kaji has been with Max as part of his pokemon team and is one of the first pokemon he has had.

Gender: Genderless (referred to as he)
Moves: Transform
Personality: Shi is a joker, Max isn't sure if he's capable of being serious, but the pair have fun together and Shi can always be relied on for amusement. Shi is very good at transforming and can also imitate other people's voices, useful when acting as an imposter and joking around.
History Together: Max found Shi in a secret area deep within the industrial complex, he had hidden away behind a building. Max had battled him using Kaji and after he won Shi decided he wanted to join the group.

Gender: Male
Moves: Growl, Confusion, Double Team, Teleport and Icy Wind
Personality: Kokoro is very shy and lacks a lot of confidence but he has a powerful mind and is very intelligent. Koko enjoys reading books and exploring, things that challenge his mind keep him entertained.
History Together: Max met Kokoro in the industrial complex being attacked by poochyena. Max rescued him from the pokemon using Kaji and Chikara and Koko instantly began to trust his new trainer, he was more than happy to join the group.

Species: Gastly
Ability: Levitate
Level: 10
Gender: Male
Moves: Hyponsis, Lick, Spite, Thunderbolt and Mean Look
Personality: Reikon is very playful, he loves making new friends and tries to befriend everything including inanimate objects. He likes making people laugh and pulls faces to entertain others.
History Together: Reikon was left at the Pokemon Adoption Centre, Max knows little of his past but picked him straight away to join the group. Reikon was more than happy to make some new friends and start the journey with them.
