Griff had a future set as a Rich Boy for the first half of his life, until karma took a shit on his family fortune and left them penniless. Griff adapted just fine by taking up crime for a living. He's mostly a confidence trickster with big schemes and heists, but he can cut a purse just fine, tyvm. He's recently spent a year in prison, and now the shrinks have decided Griff's a prime candidate for reformation and threw him out on parole with the single task of becoming a pokemon trainer.

Charming, sweet, witty, and honestly very easy to get along with, Griff's good at making friends--as in, acquaintances. He is especially easy to befriend if you happen to be filthy rich. Of course, if you're talking about real, genuine friendship built on truth and trust, Griff is perfectly capable of those, although he's pretty damn picky. He likes people that are competent and capable, the sort that won't let him down, and preferably the sort that don't give two shits about the law. He's a city slick with zero practical survival skills, so someone that won't die in wilderness would rock as a traveling companion!

Griffs flaws include being a liar, a thief, a scam-artist, and generally the sort of guy that profits off of other people's gullibility. You can imagine how this makes him some enemies. If Griff hates your guts (goody-two-shoes and holier-than-thous will easily get on his bad side), he can be quite the nasty piece of work, all unrelenting snark and cynicism. Otherwise, I'd love rivals! Griff totally enjoys the tactics and strategy of battle, as do his pokemon, so he's always up for a meet-up in the arena, just give him a call~

If you want a relationship... uh, Griff is a bit of a whore. Sex is absolutely unrelated to love in his book, so even within a romance, he's still a whore that'll bang whatever/whomever's closest to him if he feels like it. That being said, he likes pretty girls, and the romance option is only open to the ladies. He'll still sleep with men though--and he has only slept with men for the past year--but a bromance-with-benefits is the furthest he really gets there.

Max is from Oxgate too, he's a bit of a spoilt brat rather than an underworld shady lady guy. So they could know each other from there, whether that's as a friend or an enemy, I don't mind =]

Hm. When Griff was really young (up until he was 8yo or so), his family were stinking rich business tycoons, so they might've crossed paths then since they're of age. Otherwise, Griff prefers to steal from the rich, so he could've been robbing from Max's home the most recent time he's been caught. In which case, he'd have a good opinion of Max, actually. xD

As an aside, I think two city kids, one spoiled brat and one ex-con, trying to survive on the wilderness together would be the BEST reality tv show ever.

Maybe a bit of both... they could have known each other when they were younger, playdates and whatnot then when Griff turned to stealing Max would probably think himself superior of him. So, maybe not enemies but some sort of conflict or rivalry might be interesting?

I like the idea of them being rivals! Maybe we could throw them together in a battle or something in Featherwing after we've got our starters sorted out to see how they (don't) get along?

@ash: Griff has a pretty good opinion of anyone that perseveres despite their circumstances (lord knows he has), so he'll be inclined to think well of Amanda!

Griff and Emmett can be old jail house friends if you wanted? Emmett was never in for longer than a day or two (maybe a month, max). So perhaps they had quite a few run ins and they ended up forming a friendship? c:

Jackie would find him interesting and cool and would want to get to know him more. She would probably flirt with him and try to hang out with him whenever she could, figuring that he must know how to have a good time if he's been in jail. lol.

Haha I never actually thought I'd get jail house friends for Griff. xD Griff has a good memory, so he'd recognize Emmett the second time, and he'd be terribly amused to see him again every time thereafter. Griff's not a horn dog, but I'm sure they can get along anyway. Bros before hos, right? Perhaps they met in Griff's first stint in prison (five years ago), and they could've been crossing paths ever since? In which case, they'll need to catch up with each other over a drink asap!

Jackie's interest in him would really amuse Griff, and he obviously doesn't mind having company. That being said, I don't think he could deal with her optimism for too long before it starts driving him up the wall.

Dude, pickpocketing the girl with no pockets sounds like a brilliant idea! xD He'd want to give it a shot just to say he did. I think it'd be hilarious if he slit her purse and couldn't even find her wallet because all the clothes got in the way.

In any case, Griff is pretty live and let live, so he's not going to complain about her nudism (besides, he enjoys the view; if she were the size of a snorlax, he might not be so keen on the idea). He'll be curious if there's more to her beyond the whole neked thing, so he'd be friendly.

Yippee! That will be great! Like ironic that they would be crossing paths and what not, both out of jail and such xD Although I don't think Emmett was ever as bad as Griff, he would almost idolize him and want to be more like him, with more of a tough guy background and such. So yes, they'll have to find each other and grab a drink soonish! <3

(Although I'm beginning to fear we'll both be swamped over in plots, in which case, maybe the town after Featherwing? Or a travel stops even. Bars turn up everywhere. ASAP is still my favorite option though!)

@nums: Featherwing would be excellent! Besides, if we wait for Weatherseed, it'd be kinda silly of him since there's a whole lot of nudists he could choose from, probably many of them less alert than Jamila. xD
