You need to provide your own sprite.
I suggest Disgaea and Disgaea 2 as a place to start looking for one. The generic characters come in many color swaps, so there's a good chance one of them will work for you.
Otherwise, our very own Nums is offering her sprite-making skills, so you should go to her.
Relatively small sprites are ideal. If you want me to use a big Gaia-generated sprite, that's fine, but it'll hang over the edge like this:
(Btw, if you give me a sprite as big/elaborate as this one, I'm going to accuse your character of overcompensating.)
First names and/or short names work best. The amount of space I have for the name depends on the sprite though. In the case of "Badass McBamf," I should've just used "McBamf." On the other hand, for "Giganticus Spriticus," the whole name fit fine.
