Laqueta had come down into Featherwing because one of her old nannies had asked her for a favour. Laqueta had always had a soft spot for her servants, and remembered the nanny well; she was the one who had sung lullabies to her when she was little. She also remembered her father's words, "If someone serves you, you are responsible for their life. You owe them as much loyalty as they give to you." Ms. Benis had always been very kind to Laqueta, so the girl didn't even think of refusing her request, even though she disliked leaving her mansion.
She had gone to Ms. Benis's house, where she had been greeted by a bow from Ms. Benis and children on their best behavior. Laqueta had made quiet small talk, feeling uneasy about how reverently Ms. Benis treated her.
Ms. Benis herself was clearly older, with more lines on her face and her hair a mousy brown instead of the brightly dyed red hair Laqueta remembered. She had almost begged Laqueta to take a pokemon that her youngest had found, saying that they couldn't get rid of him and they had no way to feed another pokemon. Laqueta hadn't particularly wanted another pokemon, but she didn't know how to say no, so she had taken the pokeball and the grateful thanks that had followed.
After leaving, Laqueta had found a small bench that no one else appeared to want to sit on, possibly because it was so close to the airport that the roar of the engines could be heard occasionally. She stared down at the pokeball in her hands, wondering if she should open it.

Troy Truth Trentson Troy had been working for the better part of the day. He had gotten Bulldozer that morning from the Professor and then later on gained Sparks the Pichu who was sitting on his left shoulder later on from an elderly woman after Sparks had taken to him. So far he and Sparks had just been wondering around the city bonding and getting to know each other. So far he know that Sparks loved angel food cake for Troy had bought some and Sparks gullible up the part he had been given. Troy didn't eat all of it he left some for Bulldozer of course. However he didn't call out the pokemon to give it to him when he first got the cake, due to the fact the street was rather crowded and the Rhyhorn was so big.
"It is okay it is just the sound of planes." Troy told Sparks as the little mouse pokemon grabbed onto his head with both hands instead of just holding on to his hair. As he walked forward his feet became rather sore and he was getting tired. Needing to find a place to sit down a rest for a few minutes Troy looked around and spotted a bench. However there was a girl sitting on one end of it looking at a pokeball. Well why not. He told himself as he walked over towards the bench. Sparks climbed down from his shoulder as he got closer before climbing up on the bench to sit down. Acting like he had been the one doing all the walking he sat down holding his feet with his hands. Troy heard the little Pichu let out a sigh and a "Pichu chu." and he couldn't help, but smile and shake his head from side to side.
"Excuse me miss I am Troy and I have been walking all day. May I have a seat?" He asked curiously and politely. He didn't know if she wanted anyone to sit next to her. For all he know if he sat down without asking she might reach over and push him off making him crack his head over on the ground. Looking at the pokeball in her hands he politely asked "Your first pokemon?" he also spoke in a friendly voice and manner.

Emmett walked, his posture showing his confidence in himself and the idea that he was the greatest thing alive. He walked like he owned the place and looked down at most of the others who passed him. Minus the more attractive of the females, who received a whistle, instead. By now, he had found his backpack, left under the tree where he had last had it and placed his new items from the Professor inside of it as well as his shirt. He still wore his wifebeater, which was a grayish color and stained, mostly from working before he had left for his journey. But he knew others should not expect much. Of course his under shirts would be dirty, they were what he did most of his work in, especially the hard stuff, since that was when he became the hottest.
He was already sweating horribly as he made his way back into Featherwing city and down the sidewalks. He ran his hand continuously through his already greasy, messy hair, which only made it appear worse than it had before he started, sticking out in every direction and falling into his face. The black mess was almost a shame to see on him, especially since the rest of him was so good looking. He was in shape, skinny, but in shape. Of course, he was starting to loose his abs and biceps, but he would never reveal that. Only claim he was just gaining them, if prodded. His long strides made it more difficult for his newly acquired pokemon to keep up, the little Blitzle often finding itself distracted only to squeal and bound toward its trainer once more, ramming anyone in its path.
The little zebra like pokemon huffed as they began to slow down, watching two people on a public bench not far ahead. The girl was not bad looking, the boy appearing annoying already, and Emmett had barely just spotted him. Spoq, the Blitzle, found himself nearly bouncing at the idea of them having a female pokemon he could 'work his magic on' and the two decided they would approach the two by the bench. Emmett gave Spoq a nice pat on the head before grasping a pokeball from his pocket and feeling it over. Some stranger had handed him the pokemon early, said he could not handle it anymore. Some sort of sand crocodilian. A sandile, if he remembered correctly. Foundly named Veloc by the man while he had still liked.
Of course, Emmett was not one to pass up a free pokemon and eagerly agreed to take the pokemon off the man's hands. Him and Spoq had not found any sort of problem with it, minus the fact it had refused to speak with Spoq. It also appeared to be a bit stuck up, but that was not something that bothered Emmett. Still, he wanted to get to know this pokemon a bit better before allowing it to just run around and cause him any trouble, if it was into that sort of thing. He could not help but allow his Blitzle to walk about, however. It was his first pokemon, after all. And he already loved it dearly.
"Hey gorgeous!" Emmett called out to the girl, approaching her with a wide grin, Blitzle still at his side. He smirked at the man on the opposite side of the bench, before moving to stand before them both. "I'm Emmett, and what's your name, sexy?" He cooed out to her gently, rudly interupting the two and whatever they had been talking about before his arrival. He raised an eyebrow and watched curiously, sure that this girl could not resist his sexiness.

Laqueta had noticed that someone had stopped in front of her, and froze in pure terror. What if they know who I am? What if they don't? What if they want to talk to me? she thought, each theory making her more upset. Her fingers trembled just a little on the smooth surface of the pokeball she had been given. She didn't look up, hoping that whoever it was would leave.
When the person spoke, his voice calm and friendly, Laqueta glanced up for a second, her brown eyes as wary as a wild pokemon's. His size frightened her a little, and so did his too red hair, his too blue eyes. She couldn't imagine having an appearance like his; she doubted anyone would ever forget him. She was always forgotten, and more often than not, grateful for it. But he didn't seem to know who she was, and Laqueta knew it was impolite to not reply when asked a question.
"My name is Laqueta," she said softly, "It's nice to meet you."
It was only after she spoke that she realized she hadn't answered his question about being able to sit down. Embarrassed at being so absentminded, Laqueta was about to say that of course he could sit down, she wouldn't want to make someone who had been walking all day stand, when he asked about the pokeball in her hands.
"No...." she replied, unable to think of anything else to say. Tae was her first pokemon, but that didn't seem like something to tell a stranger. Neither did the fact that she hadn't really wanted this pokemon.
She waited nervously for him to say something, something she suspected would be about her, and negative. Maybe it'll be about how I didn't even answer his question.... she thought miserably, Maybe he'll know who I am now that I've told him my first name, and he'll want to know all about the trial. I can never make friends, I always make too many mistakes....
A new voice broke her out of her depressing thoughts, though it took awhile for the words to register in her mind. When they did she blushed so heavily the dark red tinge could easily be seen on her skin. She had never been called gorgeous before, and wondered if maybe this man thought she was someone else, or was talking to someone else nearby. She looked up just as Emmett introduced himself, and blinked in pure surprise. He couldn't be talking to her, but he was looking straight at her.
Laqueta wasn't sure what to do. Emmett appeared to be speaking to her, but he was handsome in a roguish way, and he had called her sexy. Laqueta wasn't so self delusional as to believe that she would ever be sexy, so clearly she was missing something, like usual. It took her a few moments to realize that Troy was also still there, and she retreated into her coat as though it could somehow protect her from confusion and humiliation. I should have never gone into the city, she thought, wishing she knew what to do.

Troy Truth Trentson He hadn't meant to make her feel uneasy. Nor did he have a clue who she was. He hadn't heard of any trail or what not. He doesn't really watch TV or keep up on the latest scandals. He had focused mostly on his school work and the like. However as he stood there he smiled in a friendly and gentle manner as she said it was nice to meet you. She seemed friendly, but nervous at the same time and he took the no was an answer to his question about the pokeball. So he sat down next to Sparks. "This is Sparks by the way." He said politely to her before he spotted the other young man coming towards them.
Looking at the Pichu he gently grabbed it's right foot and rubbed it with her thumb. "Pichu pichu chu! CHU!" The small mouse pokemon cried with joy as if cheering that he got a foot rub. Laughing softly Troy just ignored Emmet and Laqueta. Or he seemed to be anyways. However Troy was sort of listening even if he didn't look like it. So annoy that kid just sounds like he has a big ego.' Troy thought to himself as he smiled at Sparks and tickled the pokemon's foot making the Pichu laugh all cute like and such.

Emmett stared at the girl as she did not respond. Instead, she sat there and looked at him in total disbelief. She seemed to think he was talking to someone else, looking around for another who might be near, only to find that he was indeed talking to her. He chuckled softly before nodding. "Yeah, you," He said as he watched her blush heavily. It was amusing, but something he expected anyway. He knew he was amazing, not to mention his handsome looks. And not to mention him complimenting her. Well of course she had to blush. There was nothing else she could do. He smiled slyly at her as he looked her over. She still was quiet, hiding within her coat. Her wrinkled his nose and his eye brow rose.
Turning to look at the other male, who was unusually quiet, he rolled his eyes. "Is this chum making you feel uncomfortable? C'mon you can talk to me, don't hide in your coat," He laughed, pointing his thumb at Troy and the little Pichu he had. "What's up mann! Not sure if you caught it, but I'm Emmett," Emmett roared toward him, lifting his left foot and placing it on the bench between the two. Leaning on his knee, he looked Troy over, his haughty appearance remaining, almost looking down at Troy. It was something Emmett did, however. Whenever someone made themselves a possible threat, he had to try and belittle them throw his body posture. Sticking his hand out as he lifted his head, jaw jutting out, Emmett offered to actually meet the male, at least for a moment.
By this point, little Spoq the Blitzle had shoved his face into Laqueta's lap. Licking her coat, he tried to push his face up against her's and lick her nose. Not because he was trying to be her friend, but because he was into any girl. Pokemon or human. Almost like Emmett. He stamped his foot and threw his head back excitedly, hoping she might release the pokemon within the pokeball. He hoped it was a female, one who would actually understand him. <Blit, Blit!> He whined excitedly, drawing back his trainer's attention, who only laughed in response. Patting the pokemon he allowed his dull eyes to move between the two others. "I forgot, this 'ere is Spoq, the Blitzle," He said, his voice growing fond as he spoke of the pokemon.
However, this fondness quickly disappeared from his face, his more confident smile returning once more as he rubbed his arm across his face. "So babe, I didn't catch your name? And might I ask, do you know what you're doing later?" He said looking at Laqueta once more, obviously jealous that Blitzle had tried to take her attention. It was best if she did not answer the question, as he would retort with something about her doing him, but it was what he looked forward to. Occasionally he looked back over at Troy, but obviously had no interest for this dude, especially if he wasn't even going to hit on the pretty lady next to him. He was sort of a dominating dude, often butting his way into situations and completely taking over them. When Emmett was around, he was in charge and everything was about him. If these two asked him any question, he would go on and on about himself. That was something Spoq had already learned and they had only just left the lab.

Laqueta shifted slightly to the side to let Troy sit down, smiling just a little at his Pichu. She wondered what pokemon was in the pokeball she had in her hand, and hoped that she or he was as cute as Sparks, and then scolded herself for it. She knew she shouldn't care what type of pokemon was in her pokeball. She had agreed to look after the pokemon and she would honor that. It didn't seem honorable to hope the pokemon was cute, of all things. I should be hoping that she or he is good natured, Laqueta thought, dropping her head a little in shame.
She had almost forgotten about Emmett when he reminded her that he was there by introducing himself again. His mention of her hiding in her coat only made her try harder to disappeared within it. There was something about this brash, bold man that both surprised and terrified her. No one had ever been so casual with her before.
The little Blitzle made her peek out of her coat just a little, and changed her expression from blank with fear to slightly pleased. She murmured a very soft greeting that was unlikely to be heard by anybody. Laqueta had always loved pokemon, and generally felt a bit more confident around them than she did with humans; no pokemon had ever hurt her, physically or mentally.
"Um, it's Laqueta," she said in reply to Emmett's question about her name. She wasn't really sure how to answer his second question, but she knew it was impolite to refuse to give him her name. She hoped that he would leave after that, and fought the urge to run herself. She wasn't going to be a coward.
