APPEARANCE

Just by looking at her, you could tell the girl was blind, though she tried not to act too much like a blind person. The main thing noticed about her is her blindfold - it's red, a dark crimson red, with a blue Cross in the middle of it. These were some of her favorite colors, though she didn't wear them often. She actually stuck to the darker colors - such as black, and grey. It made her stand out less, though the walking cane she had wasn't helping her to blend in.

She has whiteish blonde hair, that falls just shy of her chest, and her eye colors are actually unknown due to her always wearing the blindfold - but she was blind, what other reason would she have to wear it? She's roughly about five foot six, and weighs a little more than one hundred and twenty-five pounds. She's a rather skinny thing, but due to her blindness, she tries to stay as healthy as possible, to stop any more health problems from arising. Though, sometimes, one can't help blindness.

Her wardrobe consists of a white, silky dress that falls several inches above her knees. A black, hooded cape that's not much longer than the dress, and lace-up, sandals, which were old and dirty-looking. They've been through the ringer. She also has a set of bandages wrapping up her left leg.

PERSONALITY

//Outspoken - She's blind. That doesn't mean she doesn't have a mouth on her. She's not afraid to hold back what she's thinking, especially when it comes to something she wants her opinion to be heard on.

//Intelligent - Though she can't read, her family had a lot of books on recordings around for her to listen too. This also helped with her schooling, and she's learned a lot about Pokemon, as well, though she can't see them.

//Energetic - Keeping herself healthy, she also tries to keep herself busy. Which in the long run, gives her more energy. She loves being up and about, never sitting.

//Calm - Being blind, she doesn't have much willpower to fight anyone, so rather, she keeps her calm, and ignores any smart remarks someone may make about her being blind.

//Friendly - She's more friendly than mean. She loves befriending new people, and new Pokemon. After all, she will need to develop some friends to help her in the long run.

//Outgoing - As well as friendly, she is outgoing, and easy to get along with. Becoming blind has had a toll on her, and lifes too short to be mean.

//Clumsy - Yes, this is a big one. With her being blind, she tends to run in to a lot of things - edges of tables, and tripping over chairs - but what can you expect?

//Speaks before thinking - There are times when she will go off at the mouth, like when her mind is wondering, and she's not paying attention.

HISTORY

She wasn't always blind. No. When she was younger than ten, she actually had her eyesight. Her eyes, a beautiful light blue, was able to see the colors of the world. Her family was quite a happy one then. Without a care in the world - her parents weren't the richest, but they lived in a comfortable life style. At least enough to make their only child, Gwen, happy. She had everything she could ask for - a nice family, an awesome house, and friends who were always around for her.

That all changed the day of the accident. She was about eleven years old, and was outside playing with her friends. They lived in a rather active neighborhood, in Oxgate city. There were the squealing of tires around the corner, and rather than following her friends inside the house, she decided to be a snoop - after all, she did want to pursue a career in Criminal Justice. And something like this had always interested her.

Just as she turned the corner, though, the car had smacked right in to a pole, maybe fifteen feet from her, and the shards of glass from the windshield, due to the impact, had hit her directly in both eyes. She cried out, covering her eyes with her hands, and stumbled backwards. Her parents came rushing around the corner, only to see their daughter in agony.

Quickly, they rushed her to the ER. She was taken back, only to be diagnosed as being permanently blind. Everything had changed then. She was kept inside the house, and her friends stopped coming by, slowly, one by one. That's when she took up wearing what she did - the short, silky dress, with the cape and her blindfold.

Five years later, she decided she was going to go out on her own - to find a Pokemon to help her through her journey, and maybe meet a few people on the way. The time had come.
