She walked through Featherwing, in a sour mood. It wansn't like she wanted to be a new trainer. It wasn't like she had chosen to start off with barely any manpower -- save herself, and Arceus knew how well other trainers would take her intereference in a pokemon battle. It just happened to turn out that way. Sensing her discomfort, Rosa cooed softly and snuggled against the woman's chest. Stroking the Budew, Sinclair glanced at the object of her ire.
Clopping alongside her trainer, the Mareep was shooting death glares left and right. "Rydia, calm down!" the woman said, attempting to cool off the Mareep before the pokemon did something Sin would regret -- such as incite a battle from yet another random passerby. The last time a trainer saw Rydia, he had instantly thought it a good idea to challenge Sin to a battle. To her embarrassment, the brunette had to back out of the challenge; one look at his pokemon and she knew that her pokemon -- a crybaby and a bipolar maniac sweetheart -- stood no chance.
Ignoring her trainer, the Mareep smugly pranced onward, shooting the stink-eye at anything that approached the trio. Unknowing, Rosa simply continued cooing and snuggling with her trainer. Sinclair sighed, a newfound respect for pokemon trainers forming in her mind. How they managed to travel around with pokemon like hers, she would never know. "I suppose it's an ... aquired taste," she murmured. The woman decided she would get used to her eccentric pokemon. Eventually. Placing a hand on the Mareep, the woman made sure Rydia wouldn't go running off anywhere.
The electric sheep tried to shake off her trainer's hand, but Sin calmly kept the Mareep by her side. Giving up, Rydia huffed and baaed in opposition. Ignoring her pokemon's protests, she moodily continued on her way through the city.
What a wonderful day. NOTES derp. she has such freakish pokemon. sin is not amused. TAGS wild pokemon!

For a long while now that wild Machop had been following the wily Mareep and its little party for a while now. So closely that it came as a shock to him he hadn’t been challenged by her as well. He liked the little electric type’s spunk, as soft and pretty as she appeared. He had not attraction to the sheep Pokemon, not in the slightest, but he’d been looking for someone to spar against for a long while now. Fellow Pokémon in his area tended to head a completely different path whenever he approached them, to the point where he began to feel a bit lonely. But he refused to admit it. Men were never lonely! Loneliness is for the weak. He would trade absolute power over friends any day…right? Refusing to deal with his conflicting emotions any longer the wild Machop presented himself before the Mareep, flexing his impressively large muscles as if to get her as riled for battle as he was. There was absolutely no flirting intention behind it in any way. With a devilish grin he taunted, < Think you can take me, fluffy? > Attempting to test his new opponent’s reaction time, he rushed her, going in for a Low Kick attack, a Leer in his eyes.
A wild Machop as appeared! Male. Level: Eight. Low Kick | Leer | Focus Energy

Sinclair heard something nearby -- there was that noise again! -- but ignored it. She kept on walking, leading her Mareep and keeping the pokemon next to her, when something suddenly appeared in front of them. Slightly startled, Sinclair stopped walking and glanced warily at the Machop. Rydia's wool instantly puffed up with static electricity, sending a shock up the woman's arm. Rolling her eyes, Sinclair withdrew her hand. As if it wasn't already obvious, it seemed as though that Machop wanted to fight.
The Mareep couldn't help but laugh -- a bit viciously -- at the flexing Machop. <So you wanna fight?> the sheep baaed softly, deftly leaping out of the way of the Low Kick -- although that Leer was a bit intimidating ... Shaking her head, Rydia landed on the pavement with the soft clip-clop of her hooves. She paused for a moment to Growl cutely, a suggestive look in her eyes as she regarded the manly Machop.
Then she raised her tail, a harsh light emitting from the orb at the tip. With a vicious snarl, Rydia spun around in an attempt to drive her Iron Tail into the Machop's side.
Sinclair watched her Mareep fight with slight apprehension. It looked like Rydia knew what she was doing, but ... "Why must she be so ... difficult?" the trainer murmured, glancing down at the Budew in her arms. Rosa looked up at her trainer, smiling sweetly. "Dew?" Sin sighed again at the uncomprehending look in the Budew's eyes. As if Rosa was actually going to reply. SUMMARY rydia uses growl then iron tail. NOTES pfft. TAGS wild pokemon!

The Machop was surprised to watch the Mareep land so gracefully to his side. No, he could not have missed. That was not what men did! He flexed again, a bit annoyed, but pleased to have a worthy opponent, or what appeared to be one at this particular moment in time. He listened to the Mareep's response, but he did not really acknowledge it, except with a sly grin. He knew that it was not a manly thing to hit a girl, but at this point, he did not care. He only wanted a good spar. She used a Growl and he stopped, admiring her momentarily. She was darling, but that was not what he was here for.
<Of course I want a fight, what else?> He chuckled at her foolishness. Shaking his head clear, he had no time to respond in anyway different than by flexing as the Mareep smashed into him, her hard tail making direct contact with his side. Slipping backward a bit, he used one muscular arm to regain his balance, his knees bent and his head lowered. Before standing up again, he began to glow a red color, obviously using a Focus Energy to try and make his next move really count. Standing back up quickly, he then took off toward the Mareep, again attempting a Low Kick attack. He was more focused this time however, determined not to miss. He could not miss again, because he was a man. Yes, that was often his reason for things. Because he was a man and that was or was not what men did.
He looked up at the trainer, but did not really mind that it did not give orders to the pokemon. After all, he was here to see the pokemon's skills, not its trainer's. Not to mention, she looked busy with the green pokemon she held in her arms. Another female by the look of it. Not that it mattered, but who said men were not observant? At least some times.
Machop used Focus Energy and Low Kick

Rydia crouched low, ready to dodge whatever was coming toward her. To her surprise, however, the Machop was ... glowing. Straightening up, the sheep pokemon curiously glanced at the Machop. <What are you doin -- ah!> The pokemon tumbled over, tripping over the sudden leg sweep. Rydia flailed her hooves, taken by surprise. "Get up, Rydia!" Sinclair snapped sharply. The trainer was content to watch the Mareep battle herself, but if she was going to be distracted by every little thing ... "Now. Growl and Tackle."
Snapped out of her thoughts by her trainer's voice, the Mareep quickly got back onto her hooves, baaing angrily. <You're going to pay for that, boy,> the pokemon said venomously. Then, remembering Sinclair's instructions, Rydia did a smooth about-face and emitted a cute baa. <But your muscles really are impressive,> she said sweetly. Oh, how she wanted to grind that annoying Machop into the ground.
Then Rydia dove forward, tossing her entire body into the Machop's in an attempt to get the fighting pokemon off balance and perhaps do some damage. Her wool sparked with electricity as she ran forward. If she was lucky, she would make contact ... and her electricity would do the rest. SUMMARY rydia uses growl then tackle. her ability, static, has a 30% chance of paralyzing the target every time they make physical contact. so that low kick and tackle both. :3 NOTES too lazy to write long posts. that training thread killed me. MACHOP l MALE l LEVEL 08 FOCUS ENERGY | LEER | LOW KICK The Machop smirked in delight as the Pokemon continued to retaliate. At least it was proving itself to be of some sort of challenge against him - Arceus forbid that he have to meet another weakling. The lack of training would leave his muscles flabby and untoned, much to his disliking. As the Low Kick attack collided with the Mareep's fluffy body, a triumphant smirk upon the Pokemon's face. The Mareep's Static tried to induce paralysis upon him, but the small jolt had not succeeded in immobilising the Machop. The Pokemon had felt the tingle, still, and was now a little more wary about striking the Mareep. As the Pokemon came tumbling at him again, he evaded swiftly, letting out a snort in bemusement.
She couldn't win - And he would be victorious this round! As his arrogance began to get to him, the Machop decided to play it safe this time round, shooting a Leer at the Mareep to lower its defenses a little. He flexed his muscles in a non flirtatious way, before glaring at the Mareep fiercely, trying to coax the Pokemon into submission without even making contact. Maybe if it were skittish enough, it would flee or something, and there was less trouble. The Machop did want to strike, but if that little jolt of electricity had not been a telltale sign of a potential paralysis, he didn't know what was.

Rydia overshot the Machop as the wild pokemon dodged. The Mareep scowled darkly. She didn't like missing. Deftly spinning around, the Mareep made eye contact with the fighting pokemon. The Leer intimidated her slightly -- slightly, she said! -- but Rydia refused to back down. Instead, she began to goad the Machop -- maybe get it angry and have it screw something up. <You think you're all great,> she said smoothly, <but you're nothing but weak.> The electric pokemon huffed in contempt, quickly glancing sideways at her trainer for her orders.
Sinclair mouthed 'Iron Tail,' and Rydia instantly began to rush toward the Machop. <You don't actually think you're going to win?> The sheep gracefully leapt into the air, her tail glowing harshly. Static electricity once again ran throughout her body, the small crackles offering the electric pokemon a bit of comfort and confidence. With a quick flip, she swung her tail down and hoped for the satisfying thud that meant she had made contact. SUMMARY rydia uses iron tail. pretty much. NOTES blah. I was always bad at battling.
