Our world has been overtaken by mystery and intrigue as fictional character Sherlock Holmes is overly-idealized by a majority of Earths citizens. Unsurprisingly, citizens have even aspired to become the next modern-day Sherlock Holmes - a title which has only been achieved by a selective few. But in this world there's rarely a day where his name isn't mentioned - even amongst combating agencies such as the FBI, CIA, and the notorious black-clad Organization which might as well be run by this worlds' version of Professor Moriarty as its leader is depicted as the Napoleon of Crime.
In this game of deception, immortality has been sought by several as a way to cheat death. A new prototype drug called the APTX-4869 was created by the Organization and its known only to a selective few that it has the ability to grant an alternative form of immortality. If it didn't kill its victim when it was given to them, it would've shrunken them into a childlike version of themselves - therefore causing them to be on the run from this Organization as they've become part of their half a century-old project. Surprisingly the Organization is still unaware of this drugs ability to grant immortality - they're only known that it's an untraceable, lethal poison - and that's primarily what it's used for: to commit untraceable crimes.
Unfortunately, the local Japanese government is completely unaware of this drug or the Organization as they've remained unidentified in this mystery-torn world. Despite all of this, civilians are still capable of living mundane lives, but even then there's one thing you must always remember: nothing's as it seems and the only one you should trust is yourself.
