Just out of curiosity! :P What was the first pokemon game you ever played?
Mine was a Pokemon Red ROM (on floppy disk, no less) and my starter was a Charmander. :) eleven years ago oh my gosh where's my life gone The first game I owned myself was Pokemon Yellow.

it was my Gold, which I then traded for a Silver ... which was 99% perfect except for Entei.
then, y'know, my sister decided to save over it in a moment of pure fucking genius.
yeah. I'm totally upset about that. /SOB. I spent my entire childhood playing that thing, man!
but then I got Sapphire, which was -- and still is -- great. <3 then gens iv and v came along, and yeah. still don't have black nor white, though.

The first game I ever played was actually Stadium (one and two) and Snap! for Nintendo 64, buttt I didn't think about that XD The first game I played on GB was Crystal, which my cousin owned and I would steal and run off with haha That was when I fell in love with Houndour and had to go buy Pokemon Stadium 2. Then I got Yellow and Red, but was sad I could no longer be a girl and hated my pikachu following me around >< So then I bought myself Sapphire (which is still my favorite) and have all the rest of the games except Black/White.

don't kill me, but i don't remember what the first pokemon game i played was called. i know it was second generation and that it wasn't crystal, because there was color but the sprites were not animated. my cousin didn't like me touching his expensive things (gameboy color, lolol), but i did anyway while he was at school. first pokemon i ever layed my eyes upon was a gastly. <33
the first pokemon game i owned was sapphire. best months of my life there. before i moved and lost the game while packing. since then i've purchased ruby, red, blue (the damn game didn't save, however), yellow, fire red, two leaf greens, pearl, and heartgold. i have a game of white on my laptop, but i haven't touched it for a while. i despise the fifth generation. you won't see me with any of them.
i bought but never beat pokemon ranger and blue rescue team. i s'poes i prefer old-school trainins. /coolguy

Red for me. Technically, I played Blue first, because there was a guy at my church that was playing it and let me start a new game on his (and watched me like a hawk to make sure I didn't save over his game). Then I got a GBC and Red, then Yellow (and I got Blue at some point too), then GSC (yes, all of them), after which I kinda stopped. Still haven't played RSE and can't recognize half its pokemon. A WoW buddy thought me quitting pokemon was a disgrace and mailed me his Pearl game when Platinum came out, and now I'm back to faithfully buying games on day of release.
Currently playing White, although I'm still missing Platinum from my collection. I was going to buy it today actually, but shelled out for Golden Sun instead. Alas.
