just 'cause.  inspired by Kit's poll.
personally, my favorite generation would have to be II, hands down -- but my favorite games are the gen III games. I know, I'm super strange. but I love my Sapphire, okay?
what about you guys?
and lol I forgot about Ranger/Mystery Dungeon/etc. OH WELL TOO BAD. /shot.

DPP has a very special place in my heart for getting me back into the games, so it gets my vote.
Got to say though, I think GSC did the most for the franchise, and my best memories are from Silver. I was unbelievably psyched when HGSS came. Day of release was during the height of finals for me, but I walked my ass to the GameStop all the same. The poor salesguy tried hitting on me, but I was pretty single-minded. WANT POKEMON. THE NEW ONE. OKKBAI.

Same as you haha Second Generation is my favorite, but Sapphire is my favorite game to play. XD

I sorta was raised on Silver, and then got obsessive on my Crystal. I remember when all those "new features" were so cool! Lol. Good times. My second fave would probably be Diamond, since I also got obsessive with EV training when it came out.

Well, Red and Blue were the first versions I played, Gold and Silver were awesome. There's so much stuff to do in Pearl....
Hm, I'm going to say HG + SS. It's like the director's cut of G + S. Heresy, I know...
