Appearance
Reddish brown hair, shaggy and unbrushed, reaching down to the base of his neck. His skin is a darker variety of Caucasian, and his eyes are amber-gold. His build is stocky, but not chubby. Short sturdy limbs, and a well-developed torso, wide at the shoulders. He stands at a menacing five feet four inches, and weighs in at a whopping 143 pounds. His face is soft and round, and though he hates to admit it, rather feminine. His wardrobe generally consists of loose cargo pants or jeans, t-shirt, and jacket in colder weather. He tends to cover himself with pockets, be it small pouches he can hook to his belt, or pants that seem to be made entirely of pockets. Along with this, he usually has a scarf wrapped around him. It holds no sentimental value for him, but he likes the feel of something warm around his neck. He will wear any if need be, but his favorite is a red-pink one with yellow tips. The colors seem to correspond to that of a Hoppip. He has a set wardrobe, but within this, he will wear whatever he pulls out first, as he's not very concerned with how he looks. (Unless it is in the interest of attracting females.)

Personality:
Arun is generally laid-back and mellow, with a touch of rebelliousness. Being a fairly unsociable kid, he would rather hang out with pokemon that humans. He's never actually battled before, but he'd love to try it out. If so many people do it, it's GOTTA be awesome, right? Unfortunately, that means he has to get out of the house and go to the effort of training his pokemon and traveling and all that.

Lazy to an infuriating extent, he goes out of his way to avoid arguments and disagreements. As a result, he often finds himself backed into a corner, or convinced to do something stupid/ reckless. However, growing up in a house full of children, he quickly learned how to escape from doing chores. Why he never applies such skills to other areas in life is a mystery.

He has a strong sense of humor, and is always cracking jokes. Not always at the right times, unfortunately, giving him the label of 'inappropriate'. Due to various flaws and circumstances, he has never gotten on too well with other kids of the same age. One or two friends, yes, but no one he would hang out with on a daily basis. The elderly seemed to like him most, calling him 'sweet' and brushing off his bad qualities as a 'rebellious stage'.

History:
Arun was raised in a small town in an only slightly larger region, living in a family of seven, and surrounded by girls. As the second oldest, he was often roped into doing chores. As such, he developed several tricks for escaping. (Usually fleeing the house.)
Always out, he developed some close friendships with the elderly neighbors in his town. It was these older friends who taught him about pokemon. His own family never had the time, money, or energy to keep any, but his neighbors all had their various companions. So whenever he had free time, Arun would escape to the surrounding hills, tailed by one or two of his neighbors' pokemon, and spend the day exploring. He developed the habit of talking to the pokemon in the same way he would talk to another human. Even if they never responded, he felt they could understand. Despite his affinity with the creatures, the thought of battling them never particularly interested him. He simply enjoyed their company.

At the age of sixteen, all children of the Quinley household are sent off into the wide world, first to earn a pokemon, then to find their own niche in life. This tradition has been passed down from the paternal side of the family. Aruns' father is constantly being bugged by his daughters to tell stories of his adventure, and happily obliges.

Through a combination of wheedling, hiding, and even bribing with diaper duty, Arun managed to stay at home for a full year after his 'coming of age'. However, on his seventeenth birthday, Arun was unceremoniously kicked out of the house. And this is where his epic tale of adventure begins...

Minze had to admit, whatever she had been anticipating, this exceeded all expectations. Not only did no one seem to notice that she was a Hybrid, and had the physical attributes of a male, but she had even caught a few glances from varied passers-by. Your usual mix of men and boys, checking out the goods, trying to judge whether or not it would be illegal to make a move. A few girls who had stared enviously at the low neckline and confident walk. And one rather appalled mother, who had ushered her son quickly on. For these expressions, it was worth everything. Even the humiliation of having to walk into a store and buy padded bras, embarrassing for the simple reason that she shouldn't have to need them. Any girl her age would have, or at least be developing, breasts. But damn it all, it was worth it just to see the reactions.

For this outing, she had left her pokemon safely recalled and tucked away in her bag. Despite wanting to try and save her money, she'd also bought herself a snappy creme purse of fake leather, that fit neatly into her backpack. (Which she hated, but at least the ugly thing was more comfortable to carry, and had more room for storage.) She didn't have anything against her companions, but this was an experience she wanted to have without the disruption of a pair of still untrained pokemon. She assumed they wouldn't mind, as they'd been out all day with her.

A coffee shop seemed like the the perfect place to spend some time, Minze decided, catching sight of one with an outdoor seating area. Sit and drink some tea perhaps, watch people going by, pretending not to, while they watched her. She was about to waltz inside to order, when something far more important caught her attention. Competition. There was a girl sitting at one of the tables, in one of the most revealing outfits Min had ever seen. Miniskirt belly-showing spaghetti strap, and to top it all off, she had ears. Little pink, rounded Flaaffy ears, and a tail with a blue orb dangling down beneath her chair. Quite obviously a Hybrid. And yet somehow, as Minze watched, there were men and boy actually giving her impressed looks. As though they were trying to decide how best to pick her up.

This was unacceptable.

Still, no need to get herself in a tizzy... She just needed to deflect some of those stares, see if she could grab the attention for herself. She eyed the girl, calculating, and then stepped over to the table. "Hello," she purred, giving one of her practiced, warm smiles. What better way to make herself known to those boys than by moving herself up next to the one holding their gaze? A simple greeting wouldn't do though. She had to give some reason for being here. Hmm... Well, what did she have to lose? They weren't listening. "It's nice to see another Hybrid here around my age. I've only met Trung so far." She tipped her head and held out a hand, introducing herself. "My name is Minze. I'm a Mawile Hybrid."

Now, if THAT didn't attract some attention...
