What in the name of holy Arceus had possessed him to decide to explore the furnace? Breaking rules was all well and good, fun too, but standing here in the blistering heat, sweat already drenching his clothes, he was beginning to regret his decision. Even his most loyal pokemon seemed to be resenting his choice a bit. The Skitty was splayed out on the ground, as though trying to soak up coolness from the metal floor. With little sucess too, for if anything, the floor was even hotter than the air. Arun had offered to carry her, but she had wound up scratching his face in her eagerness to escape his sweaty clutch.
Now, here they were, surrounded by boilers and metal rails, trying to remember why they had come here in the first place. What was the saying? 'Gotta catch 'em all'? Yeah, the never-neding hunt for Pokemon. And that was exactly what had brought Arun and his Skitty here to the innermost part of Industrial Complex, dodging guards and electric fences. Whopee. Adventure.

Darumaka watched the trainer and his pokemon with amusement. They were both dying of heat-stroke, yet they continued forward, sweat dripping down the boy's face. The Skitty tried to stay close to the floor, hoping to cool off, but it was really no use. Did it not understand that fire made metal hotter? She chuckled to herself at this foolishness. Dancing from foot to foot, she made her way toward them, not bothering to move out of their path as she approached them quickly, bouncing from foot to foot excitedly. Her little arms seemed to wave around and she smiled warmly at the both of them.
However, this welcoming appearance quickly flooded as she stopped, her happy grin being replaced with a more playful one. Looking at the Skitty and Boy, she then used an Incinerate attack on the pair. She was not sure if the fire would hit both of them, or just the Skitty who she aimed for. She did not use the full potential of the attack, not really trying to hurt them, just make them... hotter. She giggled to herself, still dancing from foot to foot and wondering if they might do the same, the metal flooring heating up beneath their feet. Of course, the Darumaka enjoyed it. Her internal fire was beginning to burn, the excitement for a battle or /something/ happening. Her rising energy became more apparent in her faster dancing as she continued to bounce from foot to foot.
She wondered if this might put her on the trainer's bad list, but to her, it was all in good fun. None of the pokemon in here would really mind it anyway... She watched them excitedly and waited to see if they found any humor in it, too. She figured she was cute anyway, if they did not find the attack cute, they would have to at least think she was, right? She smiled at them once more and widened her eyes, looking between the two and wondering if she should try that again, see if they reacted any quicker if it happened a second time...

Heat might make her apathetic, but this Skitty had no intention of just sitting around while Arun was in (even more) danger of being roasted. She sprang to her paws, fur bristled, a snarl on her sweet, round face. She shifted herself herself so her flank was blocking the Darumaka, trying to ignore the increasingly painful burn on her paw-pads, and Growled, <Watch it, Tubby!> She wasn't a particularly threatening-looking pokemon, but anyone who misjudged her- No, she wasn't that strong yet. But some day she would be. Strong enough to back herself up, strong enough to take down any enemy, strong enough to protect Arun from anything.
Typical of him, Arun was oblivious to any thoughts or intentions of the two pokemon. He saw an attack, simple as could be, and the opportunity to catch a Darumaka. Why not go ahead an attack right back? "Fake Out, on that Darumaka!" He instructed, pointing dramatically for added effect. He could feel beads of sweat dripping off his forehead, his chest, the backs of his knees, but he didn't mind so much anymore. He was no longer wandering aimlessly, and now had something to focus on. This went fro the Skitty too, even more so, if anything. Heeding her trainer's order, she tensed herself to attack. Fake Out, standard procedure. She flattened her ears, swayed from side to side, feinted right, and then darted in to swipe her heavy tail at the round pokemon. Now, quickly, out of the way, try to avoid the worst of the inevitable counter-attack.

The Darumaka smiled wider than before as the Skitty Growled. It was so cute! She would give her that, wishing that she looked more like a Skitty herself. She knew that her species was not cute in anyway. Alright, well maybe a little bit, but no where near as cute as a Skitty. However, as the pokemon called her names, the dancing pokemon instantly stopped, her smile dropping to a frown. She did not bother to respond to the rude comment, but instead looked sadly at her dancing feet, avoiding meet the Skitty's eyes. Oh, how sad that made her feel... She sighed and looked around, she did not like being called names, not one bit.
However, as the pokemon suddenly attacked her, she decided that she should not stand around moping, but instead attack back. Still, the Fake Out mad her flinch, becoming somewhat intimidated by the attack. Taking a fearful step backward, she could not muster up an attack, at least not yet. Her feet moved quickly and her happy appearance dropped even more. She had only wanted to play, in all honesty. Perhaps get these fellows to dance with her, something fun. Pulling her arms and legs quickly into her round body, she closed her eyes and waited for the pokemon to attack her once more. For now, she would hope that her body had a good enough defense that she would not end up too injured with the next attack, before she could use her own move again.
Right now, the only thing on her mind was protecting herself. As she sat there with her legs pulled in, she continued to sway back and forth. The attack had not really bothered her. Sure it hurt a bit, but what attack did not? Especially when a pokemon raised its attack first. Her smile returned (at least slightly) as she looked back toward the trainer, wondering if he would make the Skitty attack her again immediately, which she was certain he would. So, for now, she would hold the defense and wait to be attacked a second time.
