Marsha, Level 5 Click. The door to the furnace shut quietly behind Casella's grinning figure. That was too easy. She thought. Honestly, if they're going to hire guards, they should at least hire some decent ones. Then, the cooler air from outside faded, and the full heat of the furnace blasted her face. She paused a moment, then begrudgingly took off her worn poncho and stuffed it in her backpack. It was simply too hot for looking stylish. She turned and examined the area, the glowing orange light reflecting softly off her dirty glasses. Without a word, she plucked a Pokeball- her only full one- off her belt, and released Marsha. The cubone immediately clung to her, not recognizing this strange place. Casella pried her off, then held her in her arms, silent as usual. On the way to Lux Corp, she had taught Marsha how to follow orders she had written on her notepad, which was useful because of how rarely Casella talked, even to her Pokemon. She preferred communication without words. "Cubooone." Marsha whimpered as Casella edged past raging fires and boiling pots of metal. "Don't be such a wimp, Marsha. There's nothing to be scared of. The Cubone clung tighter to her shirt anyways. "Then again... I suppose in that big skull thing of yours, you must be getting awfully hot..." The mint haired girl allowed the Cubone to return to it's Pokeball. I guess I'm on my own for now then. She thought. Looking to her right, she saw a ladder leading up to some of the catwalks above the furnaces. Might as well. Don't have anything else to do. She thought as the began her ascent. Upon pushing her foot off the last rung, she looked around. She area pretty much looked like the ground floor, except now she could see inside more of the pots. She averted her eyes from the liquid, as it was glowing brighter than her eyes could bear.

The intense heat was so comforting to a certain chimp Pokémon’s fur. He had grown used to heat that humans found most unbearable. Hell, he would even go as far to say the he loved it! The sensation of heat radiating from the melting pots was a continuous reassuring factor for him. The Pansear cackled maniacally and swung from beam to beam nimbly. He didn’t travel along the furnace floor like most Pokémon that inhabited the furnace did. No. Roaming amongst the very material that held the building up appeared far more death defying and exciting. Although the large pots of melted minerals boiled below him were potentially lethal, there was no fear or apprehension in this Pokémon’s mind. He’d been doing this trapeze work longer than he could remember, and was never before bothered by them. Besides, it was so much quicker and there was less of a chance to get into a fight.
He wasn’t much of a battler, he’d rather play a good prank on ground-bound Pokémon now and then. Much to their annoyance he always got away with it completely unscathed. The Pansear swung to another beam and giggled at how clever he was. Suddenly, he noticed a figure shifting from a ladder. “Sear?” He tilted his head in confusion before soundlessly approaching the figure. He rarely saw humans wandering about in his domain. None were courageous enough to brave the intimidating heat, but it seems this one was an independent thinker. A mischievous smile growing on his tiny lips, Pansear laughed loudly and revealed himself from the shadow, pushing the female human’s ladder from beneath her. It didn’t matter to him where she landed or even if she was seriously hurt. It was funny to watch! Doubting the idea that the measly human would react violently, he fell to the floor and watched the lengthy ladder fall.

A cackle rang through the air, and Casella felt the ladder shift beneath her. She desperately scrabbled for the catwalk, but her short arms fell just short, and she slipped down to the ground below, along with the ladder. Smackclang!
The red light... and then the hot place again. Marsha looked around for her master. Being outside was scary, and this place was too hot! She wanted to go back in! She looked to her left, and saw her master... sleeping? She certainly wasn't moving. The ground type walked over to the girl, and gently nudged her. When she wasn't moving, she cleared the messy hair from her face. Her eyes were closed, but her breathing was strong. Using all her strength, the Cubone flipped her from her side to her back. That would have to wake her up.
But it didn't. She touched her master's head gently, feeling a large lump. Her master groaned and stirred, but remained asleep. She was... hurt? But who would do this? Suddenly, she heard a cackle behind her. Another Pokemon... "You did this!" she shrieked, and lashed her tail angrily. "I'll...I'll... I'll kill you!"
She tucked in her head, shaking furiosly. When she was finished with him, that stupid monkey's life wouldn't be worth living!
((OOC: Marsha uses Tail Whip, and charges Skull Bash, raising Defense))

While the pokemon initially found this humorous, in making the girl fall, a pokeball had managed to open from her belt. Released was a Cubone and it seemed quite frightened by the building, only making him laugh again. The human did not stir and after a few moments of trying to figure out what happened, it finally seemed to hit the thing. Its human had become injured! The Pansear did not care if the human was injured, it only wanted a good laugh anyway. And it had gotten one with this 'prank'.
Suddenly, the Cubone spotted him. It seemed angry, immediately using a tail whip, which only made him cackle once more. Oh how cute it was! And it thought it was intimidating him? Not that he was too frightened anyway. He still bore a huge smile, looking over the girl as she moaned. Well, he had not killed her, which could be a good thing, since the body would quickly stink up the place, especially with the heat. He sneered at the idea as he watched the Cubone once more, it yelled at him angrily, but all he could do was laugh once more. Most pokemon with trainers had a hard time fighting without them, but this one seemed to think she could.
Suddenly, she lowered her head and he wondered what she was doing. Again he laughed. She had already given up on that! Perhaps she had decided that his prank was as funny as he thought it was. Wondering if this pokemon was easily frightened, as that would give him another good chuckle, he used a leer on the thing, glaring at it as his eyes lit up a red color for a moment. His smile did not fade and his large ears twitched a bit, wondering if the human had meant to release the pokemon when she fell.

That stupid Pansear NEVER stopped laughing, did it? Marsha thought as she focused, a small growl escaping her throat. While it was the most fearsome she could muster up right now, chances are the Pansear would find it absolutely hilarious... which would mean he would never see her rage-blinded charge coming.
She looked up a bit, but her head was still down. That monkey had a death wish, and she was more than willing to grant it. She leaned down, braced herself, and began charging as fast as her little legs would take her.
Meanwhile, Casella found herself waking up... not that she really wanted to. At first, her eyes blinked open. Then her fingers and toes twitched a little bit. However, her body was waiting until just the right moment to let her know with a huge burst of pain "Hey there, you just fell off a ladder. Hurts pretty bad, huh?"

The Pansear, by this point, had flopped onto its back. Laughing harder than before, it could not believe that the Cubone was still standing there. Especially since it was trying to appear intimidating, of all things. Standing up, he felt as if his time here had been spent well and decided to be on his way, find another human or pokemon to prank. Standing back up, he wiped tears from his eyes before starting off. Just as he was about to leap into the air and grab onto a ladder rung to lift and swing himself up, something hit him from the back! And man! It was horribly painful!
With a screech, he fell to the floor, this time not laughing but instead flailing about. He could again feel the tears building up in his eyes. He rolled about, no longer finding any humor in the situation. Oh! How that had hurt! He cried out again, looking at the Cubone, hate in his eyes. Standing up, he wiped his face with a long arm, tears and spit. His back now throbbed, but he was not going down so easily! Leaping at the Cubone with the most blood curdling scream he could muster up, he decided he was going to scratch the beast. Claws out stretched, he was going to rake them across any part of the pokemon he could get! Ooh, how he hurt! Another Leer had built up in his eyes and he seemed a little unsure of how to react, if this was the proper way, or if he should have just continued up the ladder and kicked the whole thing over on both of them!
