[/color]"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break."Welcome to Ikebukuro...
... a commercial and entertainment district of Tokyo and the largest city in Toshima-ku. Many of its citizens have either been here all of their lives, or have moved to the city as freshman after being accepted into the well-established private school known as Raira Academy. To a traveler, (and even to most of the people who live here now) the city is perfectly normal, a bit fast-paced, and blooming with life. Those who simply pass through life without looking around them would never imagine how closely connected everything really is...
Beneath its normal appearance, Ikebukuro is home to many myths and unique persons, the likes of which can be found nowhere else. The Black Rider, or the Headless Rider, roams the streets of the city on a Black Motorcycle that can perform impossibly feats. The Fortissimo of Ikebukuro is the strongest man in Ikebukuro- no, in Tokyo- no, in Japan! There's even the infamous former Russian Soviet, running one of the most successful sushi restaurants in the city, where they do not serve human, not even on 50% off days.
But the city is not just about interesting people. There's also danger, beneath the surface, and intrigue. You may have heard of the Color Gangs - the Yellow Scarves, the former Blue Squares, and the most influential and invisible of them all, the colorless Dollars. You may have heard of the Slasher, with eyes that glow red in the darkness, who never kills his victims, but always leaves them hospitalized. You may have heard of that high-up, "faceless" figure who knows everything about everyone, and that no one's information is safe or private anymore.
But worry not, for in this city, while there is danger, there are also friends. Here, you will make connections that you never could otherwise, and live the life that you never dreamed possible...
